Master's Degree (M.Ed.) in Environmental Education
The
Master’s Degree in Environmental Education is offered through the
College of Education, Department of Teaching and Learning in collaboration with
the FAU/Pine Jog Environmental Education Center. This unique university‐wide,
interdisciplinary degree requires 36 semester hours and provides students with
opportunities to apply academic theory to practical experiences in a wide
variety of formal and non-formal settings, including: action research with FAU
faculty; classrooms in Florida’s first certified LEED gold, green elementary
school located on Pine Jog property; onsite at the Pine Jog Center, a 135‐acre
living laboratory and preserve; and at the Everglades Youth Conservation Camp.
